7/15-17 – Chicago
I went through the greatest city in the US: Chicago. It really makes me want to grab up all my things and move up to the city. I love the architecture, the neighborhoods, and just the laid back vibe that is nearly impossible in other major metropolitan cities.
I met up with Aaron and Brooke and we went to a few great spots around town to get a drink and hang out. This was Happy Village and it was both of those things. I love the backyard space. It embodies what I love about beer gardens, a relaxed vibe with a happy community feel.
Before that, we went to Village Tap. Great little outdoor patio space on Roscoe, but I will do a full write up about it later.
Aaron and I went to Big Star for lunch. It is fantastical. They have a short menu of 5 different gourmet tacos, and some cheap beers ($1 schiltz!). There was a line before it opened at 11 and it was packed by the time we left. The tacos Were.
